Paws for Books PDF Print E-mail

The Library invites children who are learning to read to visit the children’s area and read to a loving, friendly dog. This unique program gives readers the opportunity to read to a nonjudgmental listener -- one who will accept the story exactly as it is read. All dogs have received certification from Therapy Dogs International, Delta Pet Partners, or Therapy Dogs Incorporated. Read for fifteen minutes and earn a Paws ticket. Collect three Paws tickets (equal to 45 minutes of reading) and get a free DVD rental or comparable prize! Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.

Day & Time: Fridays, 3:30-4:30 pm
