State Approves Emergency Water Conservation Regulations PDF Print E-mail

On Tuesday, July 15th, the State Water Resources Control Board approved mandatory statewide regulations to increase water conservation.  The City of Covina Water Utility is reviewing these new regulations to make recommendations to the City Council to meet the new state mandates by August 2014.

There are ongoing local water conservation requirements in place due to the declared Level 1 water supply shortage.  Please view the document below to familiarize yourself with the water conservation requirements.

CONSTRUCTION ALERT

COVINA METROLINK STATION PEDESTRIAN SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS

The City of Covina is currently in construction on pedestrian safety improvements at the Covina Metrolink Station and on Citrus Avenue and Front Street.  The purpose of this project is to limit unsafe pedestrian behavior and limit pedestrian / vehicle interactions.  The Metrolink station parking lot is closed from April 23, 2015 through the end of June 2015 for upgrades.  The Metrolink parking structure remains open and both station platforms remain open and operational.  Thank you for your understanding as we work to improve our infrastructure.  For project plans, please click HERE.

TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT THE INTERSECTION OF CIENEGA AND GLENDORA

Construction is in process on the installation of a traffic signal, ADA accessability upgrades and bike lane upgrades at the intersection of Cienega and Glendora.  This project is scheduled for completion in June 2015.

Please be informed that traffic may be congested in the affected areas and plan alternate routes.

cal competes logoThe California Competes Tax Credit is an income tax credit available to busineses that want to locate in California or stay and grow in the state.  Tax credit agreements will be negotiated by the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development and approved by the California Competex Tax Credit Committee.  Each fiscal year, 25% of the available credits are reserved for small businesses.  Applications are accepted online and there is no fee to apply.
