BIKE WEEK LOS ANGELES 2014 - CITY OF COVINA EVENTS
Thursday, May 15th - Bike to Work Day Pit Stop 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM Covina Metrolink Station - 600 N. Citrus Avenue.
Saturday, May 17th - FREE!! Bicycle Tune-ups at the 3rd Annual Public Works Open House 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM - Covina City Yard, 534 N. Barranca Avenue.
We will be giving away Bike Week LA t-shirts and raffling off four commuter bicycle packs that are a $69 value. Make sure that you stop by one of the two events to enter the free raffle and pick up goodies like free patch kits and bike lights. Special thanks to METRO, Bikestation and Covina Valley Cyclery for supporting these events.
In Winter of 2014 we will be adding a restroom, lockers, and a bike repair area at the Covina Metrolink Station exclusively for Bike users so that we can improve your multi-modal commuting options. Stay tuned for more information.
Bicycle and Pedestrian Planning Information Resources
City of Covina residents who possess a valid senior or disabled TAP card may receive subsidized monthly METRO and Foothill Transit bus passes when they sign up for the City's bus pass subsidy program. Proof of City of Covina residency is required to participate in the bus pass subsidy program. The City does not load regular or student TAP cards, and does not offer EZ passes for sale.
To apply for a TAP card, you must complete an application available here. For TAP card questions, please contact MTA toll free at 1(866) 827-8646.
Bus passes are sold to eligible program participants from the 25th of the month through the 10th of the following month during regular business hours at the Finance Department counter at City Hall and at the Joslyn Senior Center.
