Dispatch Supervisor Sheryl Ward began her career as a Dispatcher at the Covina Police Department in 1984.  In 1986 she was promoted to Senior Dispatcher, responsible for training new dispatchers in addition to her regular dispatch duties.  From 1989 to 1994, Sheryl was a Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) Instructor, responsible for educating elementary school children on the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.  In 1990 she worked for approximately one year as a Crime Prevention Officer, but returned to dispatch, and in 1996 Sheryl was promoted to her current position as Dispatch Supervisor.  As the Dispatch Supervisor, Sheryl leads a team of ten full-time dispatchers and one part-time dispatcher.
