|Sergeant Gregg Peterson|
Sergeant Gregg Peterson began his career with the Covina Police Department in March, 1990. Sergeant Peterson initially attended the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Academy before being assigned to the Patrol Division. While assigned to the Patrol Division, Sergeant Peterson also had a collateral responsibility of being one of several D.A.R.E. officers assigned to Covina schools to educate children on the negative effects of narcotics and alcohol.
Sergeant Peterson transferred from Patrol to the Detective Bureau where he worked as the Economic Crimes Detective and the Juvenile/Sex Crimes Detective. Sergeant Peterson also served as the Community Policing Coordinator.
Sergeant Peterson promoted to his current rank in 2001. As a sergeant, he has been assigned to Patrol as a Field Supervisor, Professional Standards where he investigated complaints against department personnel and is currently assigned to the Detective Bureau where he supervises both sworn and civilian personnel responsible for the investigation of criminal activity and developing crime analysis trends.
