|Sergeant Trevor Gaumer|
Sergeant Trevor Gaumer began his law enforcement career with the Covina Police Department in October 1992. He graduated from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Academy and began his career in the Patrol Division, working as both a patrol officer and a Field Training Officer.
From 1998 to 2001 he worked as a detective assigned to a Multi-Agency task force responsible for investigating major narcotic violators in and around the County of Los Angeles.
He promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2001, and is currently assigned as a Patrol Division Supervisor. Sergeant Gaumer has twice previously served as the Professional Standards Sergeant, responsible for internal affairs, recruiting, and supervising Crime Prevention. He has also served as the Detective Bureau Sergeant.
Sergeant Gaumer was honored as the Covina Police Department Officer of the Year for 2004.
Sergeant Gaumer earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from California State University Fullerton. He is also a graduate of the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute.
